Dung Beetles: Nature'S Cleaners

Dung Beetles: Nature'S Cleaners Review

See more picture

If not for the lowly dung beetle, nature might be a lot less clean. Dung beetles speed up the process of decomposition by using manure as food for their developing larvae. In this program, a dung beetle struggles through the grass to the dung heap, works some of the dung into a ball, and rolls it to a safe location. There, the beetle will lay its eggs in the dung and leave the larvae with plenty of food.
