Luke is killed in the shoot-out. Lukes son arrives in town seeking revenge for his fathers death.Escape to Ponderosa - Three army deserters hide on the Cartwrights ranch. Adam discovers them when he is searching for some stray cattle. The convicts kidnap and beat him. Adam returns home injured. Ben Hoss and Little Joe hunt for Adams assaulters.
